Now we're going to check the beats. Now we already know how the song goes. So we're pretty accurate with the rhythm. But again, remember that we're practicing how to practice as well as learning a piece. So maybe it's a piece that you're not sure how the rhythm goes, or it's been changed from what you're used to hearing. So it's a really good idea to count out loud and check yourself or just to learn it.

So I'll go from the beginning. I'm going to take slightly longer sections here because the rhythm is very easy. There's not a whole lot to remember. So I'm going to take an eighth measure section, watch. One and two, and three, and four and one and two, and three, and four, and, one and two and three and four and one And two, and three, and four, and one and two, and three, and four, and one and two and three, and four, and, one and two and three, and four and, one and two, and three, and four. And let's do that together.

Third finger on E, make sure you're counting out loud with me. Here we go. One and two, and three, and four, and, one and two, and three, and four, and, one and two and, three, and four, and. One and two, and, three, and four and one end and three, and four, and one and two, and three, and four, and one and two and three, and four, and one, and two, and three and four paws. Practice by yourself counting the beats and keeping a steady beat. This section also I'm going to take eight measures because as we know, the last four measures is just a repeat of what we've already done.

So watch me first. One, and three, and four, and one and two and three, and four, and one and two, and three, and four, and, one and two, and three and four. One and two and three, and four, and, one, and two, and, three, and four, and, one and, two and, three, and, four, and, one, change two, three, and four. Let's do that together. second finger on D, here we go. One, and two, and, three, and four, and, one, and, two, and, three, and four.

One, and two, and, three, and four. One and. three, and four, and, one and, two, and, three, and four and one and Two and three, and four, and one and two, three, and four, and one, two, and three, and four. And notice that we're not really doing the 14 the piano just right now, because I really want you to focus on getting all this stuff done. We'll add the Forte and the piano later. Practice that much on your own, playing and counting the beats.

Now, let's play and count all the way through. And let's keep a steady beat. Ready, here we go. One and two, and three, and four, and. One and, two, and three, and four. One and two and three and And, one, and two, and three, and four, and, one, and two, and, three, and four and.

One, and two, and, three, and four. And, one, two and, three, and four, and. One, and two, and three, and four, and. One and two, and three, and 423 and four, and 123 and four, and. One and, two, and, three, and four, and, one and two, three and four. Add one and two, and three, and four, and one and two, and three, and four, and one and two, and three, and four, and pause and practice playing and counting on your own.

How did you do with that dotted quarter note, eighth note rhythm combination. It's pretty easy, right? Especially when you know how the song is supposed to go. Alright, let's move on to the next lesson.
